We used Greenbelt Builders for a 2 story addition to our Greenbelt Homes, Inc. house the year before last. My wife and I highly recommend Greenbelt Builders for any home improvement project.

We wanted to have a major addition built onto our Lakeside house (two-floors, more than 1000 square feet), and had an architect produce a concept drawing that was close to satisfying all of our specifications, At that point we asked Greenbelt Builders – who had done an addition in GHI for one of my wife's coworkers – to do the construction. The price tag for the addition was somewhat lower than rough estimates we got from several other builders to whom we had sent the drawing.

In our first meeting, the owner of Greenbelt Builders, Tomas Sorto, sat with us and the drawing, and corrected conceptual errors and potential violations of building code, making a few design suggestions along the way. He and his team later brought those plans to life, initiating construction in late October, 2019 and completing at the beginning of March, 2020..

We found Sorto very easy to work with and quite amenable to making the numerous inevitable small changes we requested as the project went along. He was also patient while we made the near-infinite decisions required during construction. He continuously and patiently explained the construction process as it went along. Sorto had his crew do most of the heavy construction work, with his occasional physical input. He took great pride, though, in doing the fine detail work himself. The end result is a high-quality home addition where my wife and I have been comfortably spending most of our Covid-isolated time over the past year,

We used Greenbelt Builders for a large renovation, including a 2-story addition to our GHI home. This included two bedrooms, an additional second full bathroom, a full remodel of our kitchen, and the building of a shed and deck outside. It was a large job, but the work was done well and within the expected timeframe and at a fair cost. We were able to pick out all the details and work with Tomas on exactly what we were looking for. We were very happy with the finished product, and a few years later had him come back to redesign our coat closet, with shelving, a coat hanger, and custom shoe holders. We would definitely recommend Tomas and Greenbelt Builders, especially for GHI homes, as he was able to navigate the permit process and the uniqueness of the homes.
